It *does* seem kinda German - I had never thought of that. Perhaps I'll open a Riesling first...

I wish I had a Gewurtztraminer. Love the stuff.

Riesling is sweeter, I'd think that would be better suited towards dessert. -- nm

I don't drink the sweeter Rieslings. I drink Alsatian ones that are somewhere between drier Pinot Grigio and French Chardonnay in intensity.
