I will agree with the craziness of the Lechler deal, though.

It's much worse than the Asomugha deal. Asomugha will average $15M over the three years. He'll average just over $14M for the first two years. That's not much of a hike from Bailey's $12M. Lechler's average, as pointed out, is over twice that of the previous high for a punter. It's $1M more than the highest paid PK.
Punter is a premium position for the Raiders, but not that premium.
