it's going to mean going long distance on that 20 year relationship for some good amount of time, as her job is here and she's not going to be moving with me.

but i've also been scuffling for so many months and this one opportunity is so good that i'm not sure i can really afford to pass it up at this point in my life.

so basically, a lot of things i have been treating in the abstract as i applied for jobs all around the country (and I've had little luck here locally) are now becoming reality since i got offered good jobs in fairly far flung locations.

it's really, really rough choices. this is why i was avoiding posting about this!
