my reaction would be to lean toward the FL one.
no snow
close to lots of places to do things
moving forward technologically
universities are fairly recession-proof
as decline said, bikinis
however,
FL can get hot and I've never lived without snow (except when I was a baby)
possibly more creativity at a foundation or at least neat things to look at
quieter country-ish life
