I remember when we brought Isis and Athena home and had to quarantine them in a room away from Maximus, I'd go in to feed them and let them get used to me and I could sit there for half an hour and they'd just hide up on the shelf in the closet. Took a while to build trust with them; of course they were feral kittens, but still.
Your kitties are very lucky to have such a caring home now.
