In that case, the higher deductible might be better for you. Especially being single with no dependents.

Cause then you only have to worry about your own self.
But, it means that you'll be paying the full negotiated rate on all of your diagnositc stuff. Whatever that rate may be.
But, you'll be paying less each month and you'll have a lesser max out of pocket for the year, in case something big does happen.
Normally, I'm very much against the higher deductible plans...but it really might be your better option.
