ST Music Poll: What are your favorite new-to-you musical discoveries of 2013? Or, are there any re-discoveries that came back in your life?

Bands? Albums? It doesn't have to be something actually new, just new to you.

For me, I've been listening to a lot of The Kills lately. Their albums Blood Pressures and Midnight Boom are a lot of fun. Truman is partially responsible for this, as he plays Dead Weather on Turntable, which reminded me of Alison Mosshart, who is the singer of both bands.

Wavves new album is great, they're like early Green Day.

Gotta mention Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffitti, which is very strange, so-called lo-fi chill music, with a lot of 70's pop AM Gold flavor. Wouldn't think it's my cup of tea, but he comes at you from a lot of different directions at once.
