I bought new socks for my 5k tomorrow. They are "footie" socks. I thought they'd be invisible (or nearly so) under the sneaker, but they'd still cover

Do you think these would still be okay to wear? I can't imagine that so-called athletic socks (bought 'em at Sports Authority) wouldn't be okay to wear under sneakers, but you never know.
