I went to school (college) in Greeley. Some friends posting pictures from there is really unbelieveable.

Fort Collins (and Boulder and others) are right at the foot of the mountains where these flood plains come out, and were basically formed because of floods a long time ago. I always knew about them, but I figured they were "more prepared" for stuff like this when it would happen again.
