In the sense that the Roamio is everything the series 4's should have been. They half-assed the series 4's, opting to not deploy all the menus in HD, and then underpowering the CPU so that it's slow in every function.

I'm curious what you mean about the intuitive nature of the Roamio, though. Have they changed the functionality? Since the first series 2 I touched, it's always worked relatively the same.

I think the most forward looking thing they did with the Roamio was include an OTA receiver on the baseline model, something they did with all the way up to series 3, but I think they left out of series 4. It's a recognition that not everyone is going to be using their Tivos to record cable going forward.
