That one is an exchange for a Premiere Elite that has been a disaster. It randomly lost recordings about a year ago. I've been in touch with them for the duration, working with them to debug various snafus. They are well aware of the fact that the Premieres were a trainwreck.

With regards to the intuitive nature, button presses have been reduced by having more submenu access directly from the current screen. Also, it is easier to use during football games as the play/pause functionality is much improved. We currently have an Elite and a Roamio in the same room. Even though the Elite is on the better tv, I have been using the one with the Roamio much more, almost subconsciously.
