In response to "Sunday was awful. Fever at 104. I couldn't knock it below 100." by Mop (200 lbs)

You know you can alternate ibuprofen with tylenol aver 2-3 hours, right?

It's like, 8am ibuprofen, 11am tylenol, 2pm ibuprofen, 5pm tylenol, etc. Sometimes with a really high fever and a lot of discomfort pediatricians order it every 2 hours.
If she gets nauseated, you can call in for a prescription of liquid Phenergan, if she's in pain + nauseated there is a liquid phenergan and codeine that is really effective. One other thing you can do is give her baths in Aveeno. Not the body wash, but the original boxes with packets of colloidal oatmeal, it calms down the itching and burning especially if you add a half cup of baking soda in the bath. Last thing, don't get her overly hot. When her body overheats the rash spreads more quickly. I'm not talking ice baths or anything, but keep her in a cool room, light clothing and a light blanket. Keep your chin up, it usually lasts for just 7-10 days. :)
