Checks, training, and the NRA...

As I've said before, personally I could get behind mandatory firearm training before background checks, because I've gone through training and it's fun as hell.
And the NRA provides a LOT of firearm training, and I suspect they would be sorely tempted to support mandatory testing, as it would be a huge revenue increase for them.

They won't back any regulation including mandatory testing. They will advocate that their members get it, but "no laws". -- nm

My guess is they wouldn't dare mention a single bit of support for this becuase it'll be seen as a capitulation to regulation.
