The announcers have been venting all year about how this is the strangest schedule they've ever seen.

Plus, there have been some rainouts and the Washington situation that led to day/night doubleheaders. It's definitely not your imagination.
As an example, we played the cubs in games 4-6 starting on April 5. We didn't see them again until today, September 20.
