my volunteer gig today was awesome - it was the 20th Anniversary for the Taste of Harbor Springs - and we had a record turnout .. not sure exact count

but over 550 people attended ... most probably paying $25 for their ticket ... some $35

it's always the third Saturday in September and our weather started the day blustery but cleared up at noon (same every year) and it was beautiful and perfect.

the restaurants that participated really turned it out this year ... everything from beef sliders - to pan fried perch - hot wings - beef brisket bourbon chili - polish golumkes and pierogi's - pumpkin crab bisque - whitefish tacos - pizza's ... just to name a few ... and I was pouring 4 different red wines - 3 whites - 1 prosecco - an IPA beer - an Octoberfest beer and my favorite was this Stout (click link) - it was YUMMY!

I am doing this biggest loser weight loss contest locally here for the next 3 months and the prize is $1,750 to the winner ... so passing on the food today and bringing back extra beer and wine for my office co-workers to enjoy instead of me has been REALLY challenging! (I only had a sample of the chili and a slider at the event ... skipped all the desserts and breads - which is so hard for me!)

So ... JAX - your post about ST Biggest Loser made me think - we should do it here again - to take some off before the holidays!!!
