1) We are not talking about potential players - we are talking about rostered players. If you include those 50 non-players as zeroes then you also need to include the 7.3% of unemployed people in the US as zeroes to decrease the median salary for the average American. I bet it's a wash.
2) Sure agents get a cut. 3%. That's 23K on the median salary.
3) We are talking gross to gross salary. Taxes shouldn't be considered for this discussion.
