SO it looks like they ambiuiously addressed the dying thing.

What I got from all that was

1) He died for a short time and was saved and fury USED it to motivate

OR

2) The way hill commented how Coulson cant ever know - implies that he might be an LMD who is unaware that he is an LMD

Is there any other theory that anyone has postulated.

I am learning toward 2 but Whedon is good at surprising. Could be a clone ...some other marvel convention
