I've heard really good things about Xero but it's probably just as expensive.
There is Outright, which has been purchased by Go Daddy. She might be able to get in the free tier and that be enough for her.
Otherwise, you might be able to use some of the iOS budgeting apps if she's not invoicing from it (and I'm assuming no payroll). I don't know how many transactions she has, but a lot of them have import capabilities. If she'd rather use a desktop program she could probably step down to Quicken or one of the competitors.
