I agree with this completely, which I think is why I had so much trouble with later seasons (sp)

I watched season one and part of season 2 when it was on, and the tone of those seasons were my expectation for the later seasons -- even knowing some of what happened. I did not get that tone when I binge watched, which served to further unsettle me during my binge.
