I wouldn't call Peter Gabriel a prick for not wanted to perform an edited piece, but I'd call him a prick for saying that musicians deserve a place in the ceremony and expecting that means a full performance. They shouldn't get any more than anyone else - a presenter summarizing the pieces with the music played in the background, followed by the award.

"Best Song" has always been as (ir)relevant as "Best Movie Title"
