In hindsight, everyone would have been in better shape if he had politely hung up when USC called.

I doubt he would still be coach here, but we would have had about 3 strong recruiting classes before he left. USC still would have been screwed by the scholarship problems. Their current coach wouldn't have been a splash hire yet I believe he would have focused on the foundation more. And Kiffin is not a good hire as a media guy so he will be left begging for scraps as a coach next season.
