becuase of how gerrymandered all of the districts are, they were able to sustain a comfortable majority while getting 1 million less votes last year.
The Democrats picked the worst possible time to have an horrible election cycle -- when all the lines were being re-drawn.
Granted, there's plenty of Democratic gerrymanders too, but that stat illustrates the point pretty clearly.
