In Georgia, they did not expand Medicare.

The subsidies with the ACA plans only kick in if you make over $11,500.

I made over $11,500 except the government doesn't think so because I've misfiled my income taxes to not include certain cash tips.

So, I've likely got to go back and fix my prior year(s) of income taxes to get over that hurdle.

OR...

I have to get insurance through a private plan outside of the new marketplaces

OR...

I can pay a penalty (which goes up each year) and still not have health coverage.
