The opening number was great. Loved the new actor presentation format. Didn't mind the montages too much, at least they kept them simple and to the point. The grouping of technical categories together made it move alot faster. Problem is that left a dead spot in the middle of the show, which they valiantly tried to fill with a musical number, that I liked much more in concept than in execution. Can't say I had a problem with any of the awards, though if I had to change one I'd pick Viola Davis over Penelope Cruz.
