Is there really that much of a difference between pork loin and pork tenderloin if I'm going to marinate it overnight?

Marinating should make the loin more tender, correct?

if it's tenderloin, it should be very tender already and wouldn't need a long tenderloin

Never tried it. Generally speaking, marinades that contain acid (such as citrus) have tenderizing qualities
