Some people thought so at the time and it seemed possible. Probst apparently gave him the benefit of the doubt, but now seems to believe that he did. The strongest argument against it is that he had an immunity idol at the time, so he had some power. Maybe he really had a bacterial infection, maybe he just couldn't hack it.
