I honestly don't know. His eyesight had gotten so bad that the team wanted him to have Lasik in spring training.

Uggla also didn't make the majors until he was 26. That five-year window of dominance was probably overachieving anyway.

I loved that contract even though I wasn't crazy about the signing. Now, $15M annually seems catastrophic.
