The more I read about it the less fully thought out it's coming across.

They'll need keyboards for standardized tests and older students writing papers. The educational programming on the tablets isn't complete (they haven't finished it yet). The latest IOs update wiped the content filters the kids didn't hack. They didn't get any kind of discout on price and this particular model isn't recommended to general users due to variius bugs and issues that haven't been fixed yet.
And monetary donations to Deasy, or whatever fund he's connected to have come from people a groups connected to Apple. And he's done some demo film for them too.
There will be fallout.
