Cuaron did a wonderful job at foreshadowing the impending horror. There were these tiny blips that looked like shooting stars at the top of the screen. I realized what was coming next and started gripping Kim's arm tightly. She told me later that her thought process was, "Flu shot! FLU shot! FLU SHOT!!! Quit it!" She has a shot-shaped bruise as well as a hand-shaped bruise on that arm now.
