Disapproval of congressional Republicans after a weeklong shutdown has shot up to 70%, with 51% disapproving “strongly." At the same time, President Obama’s approval rating has ticked up due to improved marks among moderate Democrats and independents.

Yes, it does, but it's the Approval percentages got better. Disapproval went from 50 to 51, and 56 to 60, but Approval went from 41 to 45 & 34 to 35. -- nm

The margin of error is 3.5%, so changes smaller than that size would be treated as insignificant/basically staying the same -- nm

Obama's disapproval rating is up 1%, the Dems up 5%, the GOP up 7%. But approval for Dems and Obama is up, while for the GOP it is down. -- nm
