it's a term that gets used a lot here, and fundamentally un[nationality] always kind of amuses and confuses me.

I mean, the vast majority of the world is un-whatever nationality you pick, and while I get the "not in keeping with our core values" part, it perpetuates the "if it's not from here it must be bad," meaning. So I try and use it in everyday conversation as much as I can to highlight the ridiculousness.
