if it wasn't for bruce dern (who is great) and elle fanning (who is not bad), this thing would be totally unwatchable. (the less said about val kilmer, the better). peter labuza on to be cont'd has been trying to make a case that this is a great personal horror film, but i don't know what he saw because honestly: this movie is really, really bad.
