"Normals" don't vote when they are pissed at Washington. At least not in the midterms. They stay home.

Mostly because of the "my guy is fine, it's all the rest that suck" mindset. Or the "a pox on both their houses" mindset.
It would take something pretty extraordinary to get moderates and Dems to turnout if huge numbers on an off year.
I don't think we're going to see anything extraordinary that'll do it.
