Cap't Phillips is a tense, emotional bath. (spoiler) Solid A.

The scene with Phillips in the Sick Bay will melt your heart.

The duty corpsman is indeed the woman who treated the real character. On the first take -- as is Greengrass' way, she'd not met Hanks before -- and she froze. Hanks comforted her and asked if she needed care.

She brought herself together and performs admirably.

Also, the scene where Hanks is confronted by Somalis is the first time they'd seen each other, as well.
