It's been pushed for years on end.....the media pretty much played it as a nothing issue until the NFL had a serious issue to deal

Bullshit, either Goodell's pushed this narrative and the media lapped it up gladly, or they're proactively sucking Roger's junk to not cast dark lights on the real NFL issues; the fact the game is unsafe for humans to play.
Change the name in 3 years after the media's moved on to other topics of vastly inferior importance so as to avoid offending Czar Goodell.
