Walking Dead ideas (spoils)

I'm not thinking anything airborne caused the dead pig and Patrick to die. I'm thinking it has something to do with the water supply being tainted somehow.

Water seemed to be a major thing in the series premier. Rick splashing water on his face in the intro, zombies falling through a water damaged ceiling, and Patrick going into the showers to cool down by soaking in water and then dying.

Just an observation.

Malaria? cholera? I have no idea what could cause death that quickly though
