The biggest difference btw BBC and american Top Gear: the brits get to drive supercars, I mean really drive them, not just the sportscars but ....

I'm watching the segment where they drive a Marauder, a half million dollar civilian ver south african answer to the US MRAP
the guy gets to drive it over two sedans in a parking lot, and later....
blows up a hummer with 7lbs of C4 and the same with the marauder, the former is blown to scrap metal (well it wasn't the real hummer but the h3 which was really a uglified suburban. but..
they f'n blew up a half million dollar truck to show it could survive it (lost a quarter panel and a tire rod.
the american show they usually spend most of the time driving junkers around and ocasionally get to 'test' drive a new car.
