in Akron, OH again. (I know - probably not a huge loss.)

I was singing a very challenging role (for me) at the time and just couldn't be around all that smoke. And the fact that I literally smelled like an ashtry was a real drag. it's a real shock to the system when you've grown used to not dealing with smoke in bars and restos.
