I don't. Had there ever been a moment in this process where he put the country before his own self-interest and ambition I might have.

He did not do this and here we are - a day and a half away from default.
With that said, I wonder who Republicans would have as Speaker in his stead. It could possibly and probably be much, much worse. The mind just boggles.
