Yes. They're in the majority, they get to call the shots.

It's a much bigger deal to have a minority party head as speaker than a majority party Speaker with mostly minority party support.

I'd think you'd need a pretty explicit power-sharing agreement with Pelosi to get the Dems on board with this plan
