our laptop, which is old, is having an odd problem. When connected with the power cord it shuts off the display. It appears to still be on but the display goes dead.

It works and can be used, on occasion, after a reboot and not plugging it in. If you plug it in it cuts off the display but if you reboot and leave it unplugged the display works.

I'm going to have to find someone to triage this but was wondering off hand if ST knew what this might be.
