I'm against it simply becuase it's changing the game on people who've made that choice.

You want to get rid of it for future purchases, I'm okay with that...I'll have the opportunity to make that decision with that information available.
I already made my purchase with the rules in place now...that'd be dirty pool imo.
Especially since no one else is in a rush to pay historically reasonable amounts.
