I work at a dysfunctional place. My boss just got really excited when I told him his son gave his 2 week notice

They have been butting heads for over a year but he couldn't fire him because his wife (my AR clerk) wouldn't let him or she would divorce him.
But he found another job, came in and told me (wanted to know if he can get Unemployment if he quits). Told him no then told me he was going to tell his dad.
He never did and when my boss (his dad) came into my office, I told him. He got this big smile and gave me a thumbs up.
