They're one of our biggest rivals. You don't root for them to win.

Do I really need to explain why you shouldn't root for your rivals to win?
If people do then I do think of them as true fans. I could be wrong to feel that way. But if someone told me they were a Yankee fan and they were rooting for the Sox to win the series I'd question their fan loyalty to the Yankees.
