How annoying is mailing something to Canada?

I've been using a really neat site that facilitates trading of Magic cards, and while all my previous trades have been domestic, I just agreed to ship 4-5 cards over to Canada. They'd be in top loaders and I can fit them in a standard envelope, normally a Forever stamp is fine for sending anything, but what's postage going to cost and are they going to care about what's in the envelope?
