When donating food to food banks, does anyone here know from personal experience whether banks only want food that is easy to give to families in

smaller amounts, or so they want bulk items too?

I bought some good at Costco for the Boy Scouts food drive. I picked up a box of 6 boxes of spaghetti, a 6 pack of canned fruit, etc - but I also bought a 10 lb bag of pancake mix. Now I'm wondering if that is something they'd want. 10 1 lb boxes of mix might be a lot easier to divvy up, you know?

I'd call the food bank directly, but I'm not sure where this stuff will end up.
