A lot of it seems to be that the offensive line hasn't done well with Juan Castillo's zone blocking scheme. They've been used to mauling.
A big thing that's hurt them is Matt Birk leaving. Not necessarily because of his run blocking prowess (which he wasn't very good at the end), but because of his leadership, and blocking scheme calls at the line. Now, Gino Gradkowski is making those calls, and along with his subpar center play, hasn't done very well.
Kelechi Osemele has been hurt all year (back), and subsequently, has been horrible at guard. They replaced McKinnie with Monroe, but that's a wash in the run game. Only Marshall Yanda is playing at a decent level.
Summed up: There aren't any holes to run through.
