In movie 1, Thor comes to Earth, meets Natalie Portman they fall for each other. He battles Loki to save our world and his (IIRC) and wins.

Avengers - Loki's back with a super army trying to make a portal to bring them all in to take over Earth. He actually succeeds, but the Avenger spoil everything for him and Hulk beats the living shit out of him.
