Dawson, setup is a nightmare, especially on a first gen iPad. That's a key reason why I upgraded mine.

Not being able to connect iTunes is something that could be debugged in an hour or two but when you're packing, you don't have time to waste on nonsense like that.
The one offer I could make for you is that if you want to box up the DVDs you want upgraded and mail them to me, I can do that for you while you're on your trip. You wouldn't be billed until you hit submit. I'd simply be facilitating the process since I have a lot of experience with it. If you're interested, just email me. If it's too much last minute aggravation, don't give it another thought.
