But people who are raised with a particular cultural outlook don't always find it easy to change.

I had a conversation yesterday regarding people raised in the south or segregated Africa, who only knew the culture they were raised in and found it extremely difficult to change in later life. I saw it in Bill's grandmother who never fully accepted changes in South Africa. It wasn't a malicious thing, it was just the only way she knew.
